Inspiring the next generation of STEM thinkers
It was Draper’s engineers who got us to the moon and back again in 1969. But it’s the astronauts who people remember. For the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11, Draper wanted to give the minds behind the moon landing their long overdue spotlight, using their archive to inspire future engineers.
To achieve this, NiceFish launched a year-long educational campaign called “Hack the Moon.” The campaign was designed to engage young STEM thinkers around the stories behind the moon landing, so they might one day engineer the next giant leap for mankind. We developed a custom website, multi-format video content, social media creative, LEGO stop-motion animation, partnerships with PBS and Teen Vogue, content with STEM creators, and an exhibition at Draper’s Boston headquarters.
